There has been a lot of focus on the Last Mile in recent years in order to drive down logistics costs as well as speed up delivery times. Gone are the days of five to seven-day delivery expectations. Instead, today we as consumers and business owners want our packages next day, same day and even less than one day. However, as we all know, faster delivery times are coming at a price to both the carrier and the retailer. As a result, we are now seeing the rise of alternative delivery locations for pickup and returns.
